No More Swimsuit Phobia!

The sun is coming up more often and the temperature has risen…

PANIC MODE: ON!

All of you boys and girls are probably thinking of the extra kilograms sitting on your belly, definitely not matching your swimsuit! So you run to the supermarkets buying all the diet foods there is; you take out that gym membership you never used; you search the net for some diets: There’s chaos all over the country. Well, I say no need to panic. You still have around 10 weeks to get that super body before swimsuit season!

There’s no magic spell that can turn you into those Baywatch babes. However, a combination of a personalized diet, tailored according to your needs, and the right physical activity can make it happen.

Diet plan

The first mistake people make in this situation is engage in a very low calorie diet: it’s fast and efficient. Well, not really! These types of diet will make you lose muscle mass instead of fat and the weight loss cannot be maintained on the long run. For optimal results, you should go for a balanced diet with the right amount of calories, carbohydrates, fat and proteins.

Tips:

- Have at least 3 meals a day
- Don’t skip breakfast because it helps you keep a high metabolism all day.
- Have fiber-rich foods such as fruits, vegetables and whole grains. They will make you feel full for a longer period of time.
- Go light: when available, choose low fat products such as milk and dairies; go for lean meats; stay away from fried foods; skip fast foods, etc.
- Drink lots of water.
- Have healthy, low in sugar snacks: instead of chocolates, cakes and cookies, go for fruits, yogurts or cereals.

Physical activity

There are two stages for the physical activity

Stage 1: Fat burning
First you need to lose the extra fat by doing cardio training at least 3 hours a week: walking, swimming, treadmill, elliptical trainer, jogging, cycling, lifting light weights with numerous repetitions (15-20) etc.
Tips:
If you’re a beginner, you can gradually increase your activity from 15 minutes a day until you reach 3 hours a week (at least).
- If you don’t have much time on your hands, you can split your workouts into twice a day.
- Take advantage of the nice weather and the longer days to engage in outdoor activities. They’re much more fun!
- Be active in your daily routine: skip the elevator, park your car a bit far from your destination and walk, help with the housework, etc.

Stage 2: Muscle building
When you increase your muscle weight, your metabolism goes up! So after losing a considerable amount of fat, you can start lifting high weights with low repetitions, doing abs, pushups, etc. This is the best way to maintain the lost weight!

I believe that this is the perfect timing for dieting.
Why? Because you have the motivation you need to stay compliant to your diet. Just imagine how good you will look in that swimsuit! You can picture that every time you reach out for a food item or you decide to skip workout and it will get you back on track.
At times like these, it is always important to have a support system. Choose someone, could be a friend, a family member, a colleague, to help you stay on the right track, remind you of your goals and keep encouraging you. And of course, don’t stress out! It will only lead to binge eating!

If you have the slightest doubt you can’t make it on your own, then don’t waste any time! Call your dietitian NOW, take an appointment, and she will make it happen for you!

I agree that there is a perfect timing for dieting because people who are busy at their work cannot really follow their diet plans. I am a very busy person so I do not have time for workout but I can only do short walks to my office. Coolsculpting suits best for my busy schedule and I am happy with the result.

I agree.
@Reine Williamson - try to find your own exercise when sitting at the desk. I usually like to listen music while I work and my legs are danging under the desk :)... It burns around 200 cal/day in 3 hours of dancing :)

According to the hypnotherapy for weight loss experts, people are very conscious about their outward appearance in regards with the bathing suit attire. While people with good figures have no problems with it.

You just gotta have those best diet for woman program with you. Swimsuits are not monsters for you to be afraid of.

Some people are afraid of wearing bathing suits because they think they don’t fit the norm. That’s why a lot of people engage to coolsculpting treatment to achieve the perfect body that they want and wear those bathing suits with confidence!

One of my phoenix urgent care told me that I am nearly at the obesity stage that's why I should have my diet early as possible. I promised myself to wear the best swimsuit after having my desired body figure, and that's gonna happen very soon.

I like girls who are not so body-conscious, they look beautiful as simple as they are. I'm not that against them researching how to reduce tummy fat, but just to take it on a positive side, at least they love and take good care of their bodies.

I used to have a problem with my large butt and thighs before, so I exercised and took a high-fiber diet, together with a colon cleansing therapy to reduce the extra weight and to start the diet with a clean colon. It worked! Most of my exercises weren't for muscle building, but for toning, so I maintained my weight.

Also, that high fiber diet must've flattened my tummy!

People are dying to lose weight. I don't know why they spend too much money on medicines just to achieve the weight they want, when they could just moderate eating and exercise regularly. All natural. And Charles Arellano is right. Hopefully they would exercise to stay fit and healthy, and not for the sake of looks.

Well, I'm not the kind of person who'd die to look good. I WAS just desperate to lose weight because I wanted to fit in a really cute one-sized swimsuit for a beach date. And it ended there. Hopefully no one's against that.

Declan Sher said...

Well, looking good in your swimsuit is usually associated with a great performance, if you know what I mean. That's why we're all dying to fit into that swimwear. The beach is where we can all show our bodies to impress people. Everyone would want to look attractive, of course.

Of course getting the body size you need requires self-discipline. Being physically fit isn't hard to attain it's just a matter of effort and will power.

It's always better to avoid being fat than waiting for the moment to make it happen. That's why, maintaining the figure you already have now is advisable.

Thanks Ms. Nadine! I've been planning on my diets for a month now, but I can't seem to get the right diet plan for me, because my ob-gyn gave me a list of foods to eat and to avoid - I'm not even sure which I should take to fit my diet into it. But I'm working on it, though.

There are scenarios that it's hard for me to do exercise even though I'm in the gym already.

Usually, I always go to gym after work but my body is always exhausted due to office responsibilities so I easily end up my gym session.

When I read this article it gives me a clever idea on how to manage diet plan. Now, I can try this procedure to help me in reducing my weight.

By the way, thanks for the information regarding easy diet management.
